Spin N On
02:50
|
|||
It's a fast pace confusing place now isn't Dan?
That hasn't changed just because of the internet.
We've been beating on that drum for so long.
The World Keeps Spinning On
The World keeps spinning like a record that keeps playing on.
And we've got one chance one shot to to make the compilation
If you have something to contribute give it your all
Cause the World keeps spinning on.
I don't tune in to trends or tricks in politics
or follow fads of fascist and hypocrites
let 'em blow on those balloons until they burst
And the World keeps spinning on
The World keeps spinning on
The World keeps spinning on
Long After we're gone

Nothing has to last forever
as long as you love me tomorrow
It's alright if your stressed out life
sounds just like every other song you've heard
as long as you love me tomorrow
everyday doesn't have to be perfect
but the good times make it worth it
as long as you love me tomorrow
I don't care if you face wrinkles up
your ass starts to sang and your tits shrivel up
you smile funny with no teeth in your mouth
your back slumps over and your hair falls out
cause when I look into your eyes I'll know
that you're still the girl I loved so long ago
as long as you love me tomorrow
Some people waste their whole lives
searching for that pot of gold
They trample over fortune and fame
that they could already hold
I know this World is filled with assholes
but life doesn't have to be a total disaster
as long as you love me tomorrow
I don't care if you want to fight
cause eventually we'll get it right
as long as you love me tomorrow

Right On Time
02:13
|
|||
Sometimes I hate the human race and I hate myself for being human
Pennies gave to charities can not erase the wrong doings.
It can't wipe clean your conscious or destroy your evil minds...
the end will be coming right on time.
Sex sells bullshit walks, we allow ourselves to be bullshitted
every last man woman child should get in line to be committed
gaping mouths wide open only spew out germs and lies
the end will be coming right time
Complementary with your last meal comes your just desert,
please sit still...this won't hurt

Positively Negative
01:18
|
|||
I think therefor I think I am and I try real hard cause I think I can.
Wrapped in concepts and chained in theories cause I want to believe.
I'm hopelessly flawed and that's what makes me perfect.
Trying to fix me just wouldn't be worth it.
I wouldn't go as far as to say that I am broken, but I am definitely cracked.
There's a fine line between genius and insanity and you can't slip a dollar between craziness and clarity.
To those who raised themselves while their parents were off working.
Are they okay? Probably, but we can never be certain.
Some people love life and some people hate it.
However you stand it can all be debated.
I'm pro natural, will not claim either side.
I want to watch the finale before I decide.

Change The World
02:07
|
|||
I use to want to write a song that changed the World
Till I realized songs about girls don't change the World
They don't have to be clever
They don't have to be perfect
If one makes you smile
It's all been worth
Girl I know you're crazy, but lets face it
You don't have to be right to be right for me
Through our ridiculous adventures,
You are still here with me by my side.
That's got to say something for our love,
or just show that we both have lost our minds.

Villain
02:02
|
|||
You've got a noose around your neck and not leg to stand on.
Yet I'm willing to let bygones be bygones.
I'm a vindictive son of gun, but even I know in the end.
There's nothing I can do to you. Life's not going to do.
Staring at the cards that you've been dealt. Clearly not a winning hand. Sometimes the only noble choice you've got is to not be just another villain.

Soviet
03:21
|
|||
She was a soviet born poor not rich,
her daddy farmed potatoes I couldn't stand the stench,
of her hands in the afternoon when we went over to see her.
Her mom was a hooker, never much of a looker,
She worked night and day, but we still took her to see the fireworks...
She cried every time.
One day we gone throwing rocks at a pond.
Spotted a pile of concrete that wasn't too far off,
Well the sign said, "KEEP OUT" but we went on in
What did we find? but a NUCLEAR Missile!
We put it on eBay
it was sold by the next day.
Moved the whole family to the United States.
Bought her bran new sink so her hands wouldn't stink.
We're still odd, but we don't care what you think
cause now her daddy doesn't hoe and her doesn't either.
We use to be "commies" but now...we're regular people!

Better Days
03:06
|
|||
We've been down for so long
don't know what's going on
Everyone's gone crazy
Looks like they're playing our song
Your hair was red mine was blue
you were drunk and I was too
We knew when to work and when to have fun
Had two jobs, raising kids
playing music, no excuses
We knew how to let lose and how to be adults
Don't tell us how to live
We've made it this far somehow
We didn't care back then
and we really don't care now
We've been down for so long
don't know what's going on
everyone's gone crazy
looks like they're playing our song
Here is to the New Year,
a toast to better days
To sympathy and empathy,
a light to lead the way
A hope, a heart, a baring
A compass that points true,
I life that you can live with,
And someone to relate to.

Broken Heart Fix
01:48
|
|||
She broke you heart, now you want to kill yourself
She broke your heart, now you want to die
Reflect on the mistakes you're making
That's just not rational thinking
You've got so much going for you
She broke your heart, now you want to kill that girl
She broke your heart, and you want her to Die
That satisfaction fades rather quickly,
When you're sitting in the penitentiary.
That's not where you want to be...
She broke you heart, now you're taking friends advice
She broke your heart go out and find someone nice
Indulge in self medication
take a really long vacation...

Yesterday's Headlines
01:40
|
|||
I saw it in the headlines
that you were getting married.
You must have batted those eyes
at some poor fool named Larry.
So I looked up his number
suggested that he got a prenup
before he winds up crying over you...
Baby you're old news
yesterday's leftovers,
but not like Chinese food
which gets an even better flavor.
You're more like soggy nachos
or warming up French fries.
I can't believe I ever cried over you.
Baby you're history
a forgotten great depression.
And there's no mystery
what's the sticky between your pages.
Romance novels by Edgar Allan Poe.
How the West was won by Adolf Hitler.
You are as disturbing as
shards of glass laid out over velvet.
And I can't believe I ever cried over you

You and I
02:39
|
|||
You were raising kids when I met you.
I was working with my Dad.
Like a couple of little grown ups.
Time was all we had.
Working two or three jobs for nothing.
Through the good times and the bad.
We thought we were really going somewhere.
Just to wind up here again.
I hear everything's for free now.
Sale us some of that.
Tell us how we just can't live without.
Things we never knew they had.
You and I have always gotten by...
putting our heads together to survive.
You tell me not to worry
that we're going to make it through.
I know that we'll make it
cause that's all we ever do

He doesn't want to be led and I respect that a lot
He doesn't like to be caged
he doesn't like to be touched
I've got a grumpy Billy Goat
and I like him so much
My friends are mean and my friends are wild
They don't care much for rules
They don't care much for styles
I had to go online and download what it meant to be Punk
I showed it to my Billy Goat and he ate it for lunch

A decade of being my girl,
What do you get?
A rose from a gas station,
Cheap box of chocolates.
Folded construction paper cut into a heart.
A pair of lacey panties.
All wrapped in a bag from Wal-Mart...
I hope you like it
I hope you like it
Inside that cut out heart,
written in marker,
declaring permanently,
that our love will last
that our love will last
Forever and always...
Forever and Always...
I hope you like it

Opportunity knocks and all your mails been forwarded
You would switch locations, but you can't afford it
Broke ass, no class, it's always the same.
Work a forty hour week and only bills remain.
That big ol' Banks ready to take everything you own.
What the heck do they want with a mobile home?
Some cats livin' it up wiping their tail with hundreds
Your off pawning all your stuff for next to nothing
You're dodging all your loans trying to buy some time.
Stuck rolling pennies cause you're all out of dimes.
You can't just sitting around thinking about the things you had.
There's no use looking for the cereal when the milks gone bad.
All these artist and musicians, poets and inventors.
With all these free thinkers we can't figure out what to do here?
Work your tail off for nothing. Hurt yourself in the process.
Looking back can't figure out what you have accomplished...

My mind is filled with worries, you don't want to put into song. I could tell you stories you don't want to hear that could go on and on. Make good in knowing that each day another part of you dies. You're sad without knowing you're actually morning yourself. But we all change and there's nothing you can do about it. Made obvious by age concealed with time. You're just a copy of a copy of a copy of the person that you used to be. And the rest of you fades between the line...

There are things in this life that you just can not know. Just because you don't believe them doesn't mean they're not so and hear it them can wreck the foundation friendships are built upon. Shake you so bad that you just can't go on. You have to reach down deep and pull yourself up from nowhere. Realize none of us know what's going on down here. It's time to resolve these issues and work out how to begin again. Get over the past and get back to living...

Well...We GOT
teny-tiny bikinis that barely cover anything, sugar flavored soda pop and videos that stream non-stop, we have planes and trains and boats on wheels, and deals on meals that come in pills and everything that you could want and so much more...
We got multimedia devices, salt and pepper all kinds of spices. Wings that will set your mouth on fire. Every color wallpaper you could desire. Liquor stores, strip clubs, shopping malls. Mail order catalogs. Everything you could afford and so much more.
Live on planet Earth!
When we got here we didn't real care for the taste. Now you should come a look at what we've done with the place. We took every single thing and redesigned it. Every living creature has gone into hiding. We didn't like the way it felt to sleep on the ground so we built a bed and put it inside a house. Now we're climate controlled and we're safe and sound and the lights come on when the lights go out.
There's coffee to keep you up and music to put you to sleep. Advertisements that will even cross over into your dreams. There are gorgeous places to be photographed while on vacation. Don't forget to purchase flowers for every occasion. We got books on manors and books on tape. Self help books to make you feel fantastic. Even if you ain't.
Wait wait wait...Hold up...
so you're saying on this one small rock...
they got teny-tiny bikinis that barely cover anything? They've got sugar flavored soda pop and videos that stream non-stop? You can see it all in 80 days and die our deaths a thousand ways, they have soccer games and carnival and that's not ALL...
We got Star Wars and Star Trek and SG1. Hell Earth could be the very definition of fun. We have everything you could fit inside a room, but if you want to catch it all you better get here soon.
While we're still LIVE ON PLANET EARTH...

Painting pretty pictures of delusion. Questions only lead to more confusion. I don't think over thinking is the problem. If you believe it is, I believe we've got some. How did we become so afraid of failure? Is it so difficult to try and fail? Defeat is just a place in your heart. Winning resides in your mind as well. I hate to say it's all about you, but you're the one that has to live with yourself. Build yourself up to someone you'd hang out with because sometimes you've got no one else.

This me. Grown ass me. Singing myself a lullaby.
When the World fills me with doubt and leaves me wondering, why?
I work my problems out loud to me, myself, and I.
This is me. Grown ass me. Singing myself a lullaby.
And it may be childish, but it sure does help a lot.
And it can be magical when you're giving it all you've got.
At the very least it's damn good therapy.
Maybe that's why so many of us sing.

BryanMoore Paducah, Kentucky
Hello friend, congratulations for stumbling upon the official bandcamp of Bryan Moore of The Wish You Weres and Lloyd's Pie. You are going to find a lot of early studio and DIY recordings in this mix. If I'm not actively playing music, I am quietly working on something new. That old Punk and RockNRoll sound is what I love, but occasionally I will break the rules in the interest of creating music. ... more
